Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship



Henry County is the site for the 2016 Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship March 18th thru 21st. As many as 400 kayak bass anglers from across the US are expected to compete in this tournament. 

As a part of this event, KBF is holding an Expo for outdoor related businesses to promote their products on March 17th, 18th and 19th. The Expo will be held at the Henry County Fairgrounds from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. There will be a free country music concert on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. featuring Nashville Recording Artists Kristin Kelly and Jimmy Stanley.

Bring, buy or borrow a kayak, sign up, and compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes in two other events:

  • Thu-Sun, 1 fish KBF HOW Big Bass Brawl. $20 Entry Fee. $200 daily bonuses. $5,000
    prize pack for single biggest bass. Proceeds benefit Heroes on the Water.
  • Friday, local paddlers pit their lake knowledge against the savvy and skill of anglers across the US in an all-comers, KBF OPEN. $125 Entry Fee. $2,000 first place, with 10% of field paid out, plus KBF BONUS BUCKS for using sponsors’ products. 100 anglers from that event earn slots to fish the National Championship on the following days.
  • Sat-Sun, March 19-29 - The granddaddy of all kayak competition is the 2016 KBF National Championship. $200 Entry Fee. Only qualified anglers compete. $25,000 guaranteed first place, with pay-outs to 10% of field, plus KBF BONUS BUCKS.
