Rain Delays Day 2 Of Bassmaster High School Tourney
Buchanan, Tenn.-With heavy rainfall this morning, the start of today’s competition of the 2015 Costa Bassmaster High School National Championship at Paris Landing State Park was delayed by 90 minutes.
The tournament began Wednesday and Alex Heintze and Justin Watts of the Livingston Parish in Louisiana took the Day 1 lead in the championship with 20 pounds, 10 ounces.
A total of 142 teams from all over the country are competing in the high school tournament, with 28 more signed up for the Junior Championship which begins later this week. The teams hail from 37 of the 50 states.
Teams are competing for $75,000 in scholarships and prizes.
