This Weekend
August 17 & 18 at Paris Landing State Park
You don’t have to be a professional angler or even own a boat to win big prizes in this tournament. Amateurs can fish from a boat, the bank or a pier to win cash prizes. Kids are welcomed.
There will be over $85K in guaranteed cash and prizes. Portions of the proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House and McDonald’s select charities. 1st place overall will win a 2013 Triton 18XS boat. The boat is powered by Mercury and equipped with Minn Kota, Lowrance, Navionics, Power Pole, Hydrowave, Healthy Battery and Tournament Saver pro.
Amateur anglers will compete either in boats or from the shore from 6am to 2pm both days of the event. Five places will be in cash every hour of the tournament with the heaviest bass caught winning $500, 2nd Heaviest $400, 3rd $300, 4th, $200, and 5th Heaviest each hour winning $150.
Also each day of the event the first contestant that weighs in the first 4 pound bass will win $1000 in cash. There will also be drawings for prizes including a Polaris Sportsman 400 4-wheeler and other prizes.
Child anglers ages 12 and under may participate in the Little Anglers Division and win Academy Sports and Outdoors Gift Cards and ribbons for catching fish.
Registration fees to participate in the tournament will be $135 for one day or $185 for both days. Registration will take place at the state Park from noon to 8 pm on Friday August 16th and each morning of the event from 5-6 am.
There will be free music and entertainment during the event and spectators can also win prizes from surprise drawings on Sunday. For more information on this year’s Big Bass Splash visit the Sealy Outdoors Website or call 1-888-698-2591. You can also follow the event on twitter or Facebook.
