Paris Landing Emergency Complex
A large crowd gathered this past Saturday, January 5th for the Dedication Ceremony of the Paris Landing Emergency Complex.
The Emergency Complex is located on property owned by Paris Landing State Park and houses facilities for Henry County EMS, Paris Landing Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff, Henry County Rescue Squad and Paris Landing Senior Center.
The building was dedicated to the memory of Henry County native Robert V. (Bob) Sinclair. Sinclair, who was a highly decorated WWII veteran and a long time County Commissioner, was instrumental in the formation of the original Henry County Ambulance Service in the 1970’s. It was Bob Sinclair’s dream to have emergency services more readily available to the residents of Paris Landing as well as the thousands of tourists who come here every year and he became the driving force behind having the facility built.
Sinclair’s window, Neda Sinclair, their children and several of their grandchildren were on hand for the ceremony. Neda Sinclair unveiled a marker which reads: “ This building is dedicated in memory of Robert V. (Bob) Sinclair for his public service to Henry County and making this building to become a reality.”
