Tour de Paris Landing Results

The rainy weather cleared up just long enough on Sunday for the final day of  Tour de Paris Landing.  Really - we had one more little rain shower at about 5:15 pm on Sunday as if to put an exclamation point on our rainy weekend.  And, as I am writing this on Monday morning - it is once again just pouring down rain!  But while the sun shined on Sunday we had lots of fun!

USA Cycling officials getting ready to start.  It was a great day for a bike race
in Henry and Stewart Counties!

Last leg of the race coming over the Tennessee River / Kentucky Lake from Stewart County.

Congratulations to Group A (age 18-39) Winner -  Andrew Crater from Asheville, North Carolina and to Group B (age 40-56) Winner -  Jason Tatum from Nashville, Tennessee.  Thanks to everyone for riding in Tour de Paris Landing and making our first bike race a big success!

Johan Ismail, of Pro Cycling Miami with winner Jason Tatum of Nashville.

A special thank you to our sponsors and supporters -  Foundation Bank, Joe Mahan Ford, Lakeview Grocery, Lakeview Grill, Paris Landing Motel, Pepsi, Dexter Advertising, Griffey Clinic, West Tennessee Chiropractic, McDonald's of Paris, Moody Realty, Joe & Jerry's, Matt’s Pub,  Henry County Medical Center, Henry County Sheriff's Office, Stewart  County Sheriff's office, City of Dover, City of Paris and the Henry County  Alliance.

And - last but not least a really big special thanks to:
Jim Napier for putting the idea of a bike race on the table.
Johan Ismail of Pro Cycling Miami for showing us how to do it and put it together.
USA Cycling for sanctioning the race.
And Sara Jo Sutherland, PLTL President, for EVERYTHING!  None of this would have happened if we didn't have Sara Jo.  And yes, Sara Jo does rock!
