Carl Perkins Center Crappie Tournament Will Be April 25th

Paris, Tenn.- The Henry County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Tosh Farms will once again hold the 2nd Annual Crappie Tournament on Saturday April 25th at Paris Landing.

Entry fee is $55 per person and 100% of the fee goes to fight child abuse and aid in the healing process. Applications can be found at local stores and online at www.carlperkinscenter.org, the tournament Facebook page, or at the Center, located inside the Henry County Communications Building at 204 N. Brewer Street. Application must be postmarked by April 17th or you will be charged a $10 late fee.

The center is partnering with Tosh Farms and various sponsors to host this year’s crappie tournament to raise money to benefit the prevention of child abuse in the community. Fishermen in the tournament will have their hooks in the water at 6:30am on Saturday April 25th and be allowed to fish until 3pm. Weigh ins will take place at Paris Landing.

Entry fee includes the Big Fish Contest for a prize of $250. There will be payout total of $1000 payable to 1st, 5th, 8th, 10th, and last place. There will be other prizes from Southern Pro, Minn-Kota, Hummingbird, Kroger, and the Crappie Wizard.

County Director Cathy Herrera said, “Last year the fisherman and the community were awesome and we had 35 teams participate and we raised over $8500 to work with out county’s abused children and their families.”
