Darryl said.   He is a guest at the Paris Landing Motel and has been fishing here for close to ten years and stays a month in the spring!! A 10 year veteran who looks forward to playing with us every year!! Way to go Darryl!!

This is Ben Hovermale and his dad, Gary from Indiana with his catch of the day! Way to go Ben, Great Job!!!!!! They are also frequent guest at Paris Landing Motel, Inc.

David & Max - A biking story.

Every now and then we get a visitor to Paris Landing with a unique story, outlook, project or adventure. This is one of those stories.

David Miller turned 50 on October 30th last year. The day after his birthday he started an adventure to visit all 50 states … by bicycle. He plans to finish some time before his 51st birthday.

On the way, he plans to raise awareness hoping to convince people of the importance of physical activity (particularly those in his age group) as well as raise funds for a few important causes.

Max, David's 5 year old Weimaraner, will be keeping him company along the way and when he's not running alongside, he'll be enjoying the scenery from a trailer made especially for him

David was here at Paris Landing last weekend visiting his 14th state. He stayed at the Fishtale Lodge and sent this note to Innkeeper, Sharon Seaton … “ Thanks for offering me a great rate! . . . . for receiving me with such a nice, warm smile . . . for sending me to MeoMio's . . . . for being so enthusiastic about my project. You made my short stay in Paris Landing memorable!!”

David also sent the following information with an invitation to follow him in his adventure on the internet.

Fishers of Men Tourney

Thirty-five boats turned out for Saturday's Fishers of Men fishing tournament.

35 boats equals 70 fishermen - all eager to hit the water.

They blasted off from Paris Landing Marina with hopes of a 5 fish limit before weigh in.  No one dreamed that 25 of the 35 boats would limit out, that 28 pounds would be the bag to beat, or that a 7 pounder would be the "Big Fish". No one could predict that there would be no zeroes. After all, this was the first tourney of the season.   It had been cold.  It had been stormy.  There had been winds, questions of if the water would be murky, what was the surface temp going to be????

How could any of these guys predict what would be the final outcome of this tournament.  At 3:00 the answers came in a big way.....

27.78 winning bag.....6.98 big fish.....and 25 limits.

That's why Fishers of Men keep coming back to Paris Landing to Play with us.

Ornsby and Wooley (shown below) in boat # 17 were the big winners.
